Under the aegis of Shri Om Parkash Educational and Social Welfare Trust, Mandi Gobindgarh and able stewardship of Chairman Shri Hukam Chand Bansal, RIMT has been providing seamless and unlimited growth to its students. Ascertaining the role, technology would play in the future , the visionary Chairman setup the Trust's first College, RIMT - Institute of Management & Computer Technology way back in 2001. Soon after, he setup RIMT- Institute of Engineering & Technology and RIMT - College of Architecture.

RIMT is associated with industry leaders like Microsoft through MSDN Academic Alliance. In addition, it has a Computer Centre & four Hi-Tech Computer labs providing Uninterrupted Internet facility through 1 Mbps fibre link, CAD softwares, 3D-Studio etc.
